Gnarlroot

General Gnarlroot Build

For Gnarlroot, the General Gnarlroot Build will work well. This is a two phase encounter where the boss will build energy in phase one and then burn it off during phase 2, starting the cycle anew with a burn phase where there's quick pulses of damage on the group. The damage dealt during this encounter is predictable, but don't let that make you complacent! It slowly ramps throughout the fight with Rising Mania, so the fight is all about pacing your mana and preserving cooldowns for predictable bursts of damage.

Mistweaver Tips and Tricks for Gnarlroot

Damage Profile:

Phase One:

Tortured Scream - Burst of raid-wide unavoidable damage that leaves a lingering damage-over-time effect on affected players.
Controlled Burn - Players marked will take ticking damage, as well as any other players in the circles. When it expires, those players will take heavier damage from Shadow-Scorched Earth until they've moved out of it.

(Heroic-Only) When Controlled Burn expires, any Tainted Lasher buds in this ring will become active, dealing a small burst of raid-wide damage via Tainted Bloom.

Phase Two:

Intermission:

Uprooted Agony - Constant, raid-wide damage for 20 seconds. Deals damage more frequently and harder hitting than Doom Cultivation.

Make sure all adds are marked with Mystic Touch when they're active so they can be killed quickly.
Using Transcendence to quickly get back to the boss if you move out with Controlled Burn will let you get back in position quickly without suffering as much damage from the Shadow-Scorched Earth you drop.
Plan defensive use around large moments of damage. Casts of Tortured Scream after the first intermission will start to be even deadlier as Rising Mania stacks get higher. Fortifying Brew will last throughout a majority of the intermission's Uprooted Agony.
Revival can be used as phase two begins and all of the Tainted Lashers that weren't uprooted in phase one become active, otherwise it can be used during Tortured Scream.
Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent should be used during the intermission's damage, as all of its components will be doing strong, effective healing, with Vivify healing being done around mid-way through to keep lower-health players healthy.

Igira the Cruel

General Igira Build

The fight against Igira the Cruel is split into a main phase and a relatively quick intermission, during which your raid will determine which mechanics to deal with during the next main phase through absorbing Marked for Torment around various weapons around the encounter arena. As the fight progresses, she will increase her damage done with stacks of Harvest of Screams. The presented General Igira the Cruel Build will work well.

Mistweaver Tips and Tricks for Igira the Cruel

Damage Profile:

Main Phase:

Tank Damage: Between Vicious Swing and the damage-over-time effect it leaves on the active tank, Drenched Blades, tanks will be taking a lot of consistent damage throughout this fight.
Blistering Spear - Marked players will take a burst of damage, as well as damaging anyone nearby. The spear radiates damage to nearby players through Blistering Torment until it's destroyed.

Intermission:

Marked for Torment - Instant, raid-wide burst of damage that knocks everyone back and marks the start of the intermission.
Gathering Torment - Groups of players that are soaking the ring around a given weapon will be taking even more damage.

(Heroic-Only) Flesh Mortification - Players that soak the circle around one of her weapons will have this put on them, increasing the damage they take from Gathering Torment, effectively preventing them from soaking another. If they do, they will take a TON of damage.

Searing Sparks - Pulses of raid-wide damage to all players, with patches of fire marking areas that will deal even more for your group to dodge.

Torment Abilities:

Axe: Umbral Destruction - Deals raid-wide burst of damage, but players can soak this around the active tank to lower the raid-wide damage.
Sword: Smashing Viscera - Deals raid-wide burst of damage when she lands at the marked area. If the targeted player is slow, they could get hit by the close-range circle. Using either Life Cocoon or Tiger's Lust on them should be enough to either prevent the damage entirely, or absorb as much of it as possible.

(Heroic-Only) Devastation - Lines of fire erupt not long after Igira the Cruel lands at her location, dealing large damage to any player caught in them.

Knife: Heart Stopper - Random players will be given a healing absorb. If it's not fully removed by the time it expires, then it will explode, dealing raid-wide damage.

(Heroic-Only) Vital Rupture - When the heal absorb is removed, players around the affected person will take a large burst of damage, followed up by a sizable damage over time effect.

Whenever you're soaking a Marked for Torment circle, make sure to have a defensive active. Otherwise, save them for the main phase, when a torment's ability comes up. Using them when you're helping to soak Umbral Destruction, or when she leaps with Smashing Viscera will keep you healthy and let you focus on other low-health players.
Remember that Expel Harm does a lot of self-healing now. Using it if you're affected with Heart Stopper will remove a large part of the absorb shield for very little investment.
Revival can be used on any major bursts of damage during this fight, while Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent should be used during intermissions when the raid is taking damage from Searing Sparks.

Volcoross

General Volcoross Build

Volcoross is an interesting fight, asking that we split our raid in half to deal with mechanics on both sides of the arena surrounding the boss in the middle. There's some finicky under-the-hood things with this boss that forces us to change our talents, as the hit box of the boss is simply too far away for some of our abilities to extend out from. The General Volcoross Build takes this into account, swapping Rising Mist out for Tear of Morning and swapping Shaohao's Lessons for Veil of Pride, while also picking up Legacy of Wisdom in order to heal the players on your side quickly and efficiently, frequently.

The fight is based on the boss's energy bar, which fills at a steady pace throughout the encounter. At 100 energy, he summons massive globules of lava that leave puddles of fire on the ground. When the entire platform is consumed by this fire, he casts Serpent's Wrath, bringing a quick end to the encounter.

Mistweaver Tips and Tricks for Volcoross

Damage Profile:

Serpent's Fury - Quick, heavy hitting raid-wide damage over time effect. Affects several players with Coiling Flames.

Coiling Flames - Damage over time effect that ramps up on players and deals damage to those around them. When it expires, it spreads to another nearby player.

(Mythic-Only) - Coiling Eruption - As Coiling Flames expires, players need to soak an eruption of damage, taking a spike of damage in the process.

Flood of the Firelands - Activated at 100 energy, this ability summons a globule of lava at a targeted area. Those soaking it will take heavy damage split amongst them, and a Hellboil will spawn where it fell.
Burning Vertebrae - This ability is activated early on in the fight, inflicting constant damage to the entire raid.

Make sure to use your defensives frequently. Diffuse Magic can cover all of the damage of every other Serpent's Fury, while soaking Flood of the Firelands will likely need a way to mitigate it as well.
Our cooldowns are going to be weaker on this fight, as we'll only have half the targets we usually would. However, this lets us focus our healing more directly on players. Revival can help immediately after soaking Flood of the Firelands, while ramping with Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent can cover the healing needed during Serpent's Fury.
Casting Transcendence in a safe area further along your side's route can help you reposition quickly during the knockback that Flood of the Firelands does.

Council of Dreams

General Council of Dreams Build

The Council of Dreams encounter is a council style fight (surprise!) where all of the enemies have their own health pools. While working to reduce them all to zero at roughly the same time, the General Council of Dreams Build will serve you well. Each of the bosses have their own abilities that counter another's, all the while putting out damage to your group when they reach 100 energy. Make sure to be on your toes throughout this encounter, and you won't quack under the pressure.

Damage Profile from Each Boss:

Urctos

Blind Rage - Raid-wide ticks of Physical-based damage (meaning Diffuse Magic can't reduce its damage) as long as his cast continues. Successive casts strengthen the future ones, making the later parts of this channel more dangerous than the onset.
Barreling Charge - Deals damage to players in a line as he chases down his current target. When he catches up to them, causes a Thundering Impact.

Thundering Impact - Burst of raid-wide damage. Total damage dealt reduced for each player struck by Barreling Charge.
(Heroic-Only) Barreling Charge - Players soaking Barreling Charge will take increased damage if they soak another one so soon after the one they just soaked.

Aerwynn

Constricting Thicket - Vines wrap around all players, dealing steady damage over time and reducing their movement speed. These effects stack the longer she channels this cast.
Noxious Blossom - A single blossom deals a small amount of ticking damage to the entire raid. Each cast of this spell makes many blossoms though, quickly leading to meaningful ticking damage while they're active. Standing in them deals damage to players via Corrosive Pollen.
Poisonous Javelin - Bursts of damage on random players, leaving a Poison-based effect that deals damage over time and reduces their movement speed. On Normal, can be dispelled quickly.

Pip

Emerald Winds - Raid-wide damage, first as a burst and then ticking damage while being pushed away. It's a quick channel, btu you have to be careful not to be pushed into active Noxious Blossom, trying to prevent even more damage from Corrosive Pollen.

Make sure to use your defensive abilities intelligently. For Urctos's Blind Rage, only Dampen Harm or Fortifying Brew can reduce your damage taken.
Be mindful of players removing their Song of the Dragon, as they move from the Corrosive Pollen after they break their shield.
Most of the total damage during this fight is from Noxious Blossom, keeping the damage consistent and relatively light. Cooldowns should be used during moments where abilities overlap with a high number of blossoms active. Revival should be paired with Thundering Impact from Urctos, with Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent being used as frequently as you need her.

Larodar

General Larodar Build

Larodar, Keeper of the Flame is a fight that has a defined phase one and two, with an intermission in between them. The General Larodar, Keeper of the Flame Build will help you heal your raid team, as well as the happy little trees you'll find in this encounter! This fight relies on teamwork between the three roles to keep the fire at bay while lowering this Keeper's health.

Healer Responsibility:

When Fiery Treants spawn from Fiery Force of Nature, they can be damaged. When they're brought to zero health, they turn into Charred Treants, which we can heal. When they're fully healed, they turn into Renewed Treants, which channel Nature's Gift into the Seed of Life, whose energy is used for clearing fire in the arena. Healing the Charred Treants is the highest priority when they're available, as it helps manage the available space for your group.
When Scorching Roots is cast, Scorching Roots spawn and fixate on random players, chasing them down. When they're killed, they become inert Charred Brambles, which can be healed. When they're fully healed, they become a Renewed Bramble Barrier, shielding those in its barrier from Raging Inferno thanks to Nature's Bulwark. There is no set duration on the Renewed Bramble Barrier, meaning you can finish healing them as early as possible and they'll still be active for the next cast of Raging Inferno.

Damage Profile:

Phase One:

Furious Charge - Deals burst of damage to the active tank, reduced by the distance between them and Larodar, Keeper of the Flame.

(Heroic-Only) Furious Outburst - When Larodar, Keeper of the Flame reaches the tank he's targeted, this will deal a alrge burst of damage to all players, dealing less the further away he is from them.

Players dealing damage to active Scorching Roots will be afflicted with Scorching Bramblethorn, a Magic-based debuff that roots them and deals damage over time.
Raging Inferno - Group-wide damage over time effect, whose damage is reduced from standing in the Nature's Bulwark from Renewed Bramble Barrier. With the damage reduction, it goes from lethal damage to still a moderately powerful spell. After finishing each cast, Larodar, Keeper of the Flame gains a stack of Combusting Presence.

Combusting Presence - Deals pulsing, group-wide damage. Starts off fairly light, but as stacks get added this becomes serious.

(Heroic-Only) Blazing Coalescence - Spawned from Blazing Thorns, these orbs can be collected by anyone, but those that do will take a burst of damage and then a frequent-ticking damage over time effect.

Intermission:

Consuming Flame - The only ability during the intermission, this deals moderate ticking damage frequently to the entire raid group for a fairly long period, while also slowly dragging players toward him. You'll need to pace yourself and work with your cohealers to keep everyone healthy as the boss transitions to phase two.

Phase Two:

Searing Ash - Deals raid-wide damage in pulses, starting off small but growing in strength every 12 seconds, acting as a soft enrage mechanic for this encounter.
Smoldering Suffocation - Affects the tank that was active during the cast of Smoldering Backdraft. While this ability is active, the player is unable to be healed, insetad leeching health from nearby players to outpace the damage over time effect this deals.

(Mythic-Only) Ashen Asphyxiation - Players that the affected tank leech health from will take increasing damage from further instances of their health being leeched.

Flash Fire - Heal absorb placed infrequently on some players. If the ability isn't fully removed and expires naturally on the player, all players near them will take damage and will be stunned by Encased in Ash (which can be dispelled).
(Mythic-Only) Ashen Devastation - Players will be marked with a damage over time effect the explodes when it expires, dealing damage to the entire raid. This damage is weaker the further away each player is from the affected player.

Make sure Mystic Touch is active on adds as they appear.
You can use Diffuse Magic on every Raging Inferno in phase one, letting you save your other defensives for unexpected damage.

Revival is useful for quickly healing your raid during Consuming Flame, as it's one of the few instant-cast healing cooldowns. Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent can be used frequently to help with the ever-growing pulses of raid-wide damage.

Nymue

General Nymue Build

The fight against Nymue cycles between two phases. The main phase sees you dealing damage to them, while the second phase has ramping damage taken while your group splits in half to deal with two massive enemies, racing to defeat both of them before you're overwhelmed by the damage taken. As soon as both enemies die, the fight goes back to phase one, with some small changes.

Damage Pattern:

All Phases:

Verdant Matrix - As players cross sections of the room, they gain a stacking damage-over-time effect

Phase One:

Surging Growth - Deals raid-wide ticking damage, but a player standing on the flower reduces the duration it persists. More players standing in the flower reduces its duration even further.
Viridian Rain - Heavy raid-wide damage-over-time effect.
Continuum - After each intermission, expect the raid to take heavy damage over time as the boss reorganizes the patterns on the floor.

Phase Two:

Unravel - Steadily increasing damage over time to the entire raid while this phase continues.
(Mythic-Only) Manifested Dream - If you're assigned to heal one of the groups tasked with killing this add, that small group of players is only relying on you to heal them as the damage from Unravel ramps up, alongside the Lucid Miasma damage over time effect from being in its ring.

Use defensives frequently. Diffuse Magic can last the entire duration of a Viridian Rain, while its short cooldown should allow a fair amount of casts to be reduced.
Most of the predictable damage in this fight happens over a short duration when it does happen, meaning that Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent can see very frequent use during Viridian Rain or during Continuum. Revival can be used to keep the group healthy when everyone's close together.

Smolderon

General Smolderon Build

Fighting Smolderon will have you cycling between two phases. The first phase has the Firelord actively engaging your group in combat, while the second phase starts when he reaches 100 energy. As he vents his fire, expect to dodge his abilities while the entire group takes damage from the heat. For this fight, the General Smolderon Build will work well.

Mistweaver Tips and Tricks for Smolderon

Damage Pattern:

Phase One:

Blistering Heat - Raid-wide ticks of damage from engaging the boss in combat. In this phase, the ticks are infrequent and shuold be healed up just fine.
Overheated - Multiple players are marked with this damage-over-time effect that explodes when it expires, dealing a small burst of damage to all players caught in the ring with the affected player.
Brand of Damnation - The active tank is marked with a circle that needs other players to help soak it with them. This ability overlaps with Overheated, meaning players that aren't marked with Overheated will be soaking this hit. Players hit by this ability will be afflicted by Cauterizing Wound.

Cauterizing Wound - Affected players have a rather sizable healing absorb on them. When it absorbs all the healing it can, a Cauterized Explosion occurs shortly thereafter.
(Heroic-Only) Searing Aftermath - The tank that was just hit with the Brand of Damnation now explodes after a few seconds, dealing raid-wide damage, lowered based on each palyers' proximity to them when it expires.

(Mythic-Only) Seeking Inferno - Infernos target random players, chasing them until they make contact or expire. When either happens, the raid takes a burst of damage and any further explosions become raid killers, for a few brief seconds. Players that soak theirs will take some additional damage over a brief period of time thanks to Inferno

Phase Two:

Blazing Soul - The tick rate of Blistering Heat speeds up, making it especially painful with ability overlaps during this phase.

(Heroic-Only) Blazing Soul now also increases the damage Blistering Heat does during this phase, making the start and end of it (when Ignited Essence and its healing increase expire) very painful.

Devour Essence - Players are knocked back from the middle of the room, and any that were branded by Brand of Damnation will release Living Flame.

Living Flame - Collecting this will injure players, while also granting them Ignited Essence, a stacking damage and healing done increase. gather your own Living Flames and enjoy bigger healing numbers!

Make sure to stagger out your defensive use during Smolderon's second phase. Limiting your damage taken can help you focus on other players' health. Diffuse Magic should be used whenever you soak Brand of Damnation, with Expel Harm being used to quickly heal a solid chunk of the Cauterizing Wound absorb.
Because of the overlap with Overheated and Brand of Damnation, Revival is a solid cooldown for that overlap during phase one, with Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent covering the other one (and hopefully being used in phase two during the higher damage intake from Blazing Soul).
Make sure to position yourself well for the start of phase two, using Transcendence to quickly reposition if you would be knocked back into fire.

Tindral Sageswift

General Tindral Build

The fight against Tindral Sageswift is dense, spanning three phases and two intermissions and allowing for Dragonriding to be done the middle of a raid encounter! The General Tindral Sageswift Build should be enough to keep your allies alive throughout this encounter. Tindral Sageswift will keep his humanoid form's abilities consistent throughout the non-intermission phases of this encounter, while only staying to one shapeshift form during the first and second phase. The last phase brings it all together in a race against his attempt to destroy Amirdrassil ina fiery blaze.

The General Tindral Sageswift build assumes you're on Heroic Difficulty or lower, where Revival can remove all four of the Fiery Growth magic-based debuffs. However, on Mythic Difficulty, take Restoral in order to prevent wiping your raid from Lingering Cinder.

Damage Pattern:

Tindral Sageswift Humanoid Abilities We Should Care About:

Fiery Growth - Random players will take quick ticking damage until they're dispelled. This is a Magic-based effect, so Revival can remove all active applications, though with how few get applied with each cast, manual dispels would be better, if coordinated.

(Mythic-Only) Lingering Cinder - When dispelled, every player in the raid receives a small damager over time effect. If this stacks, it deals massive amounts of damage, necessitating careful dispels to not wipe the raid.

Mass Entanglement - Small burst of raid-wide damage that roots players. While the Fiery Vines persist, they'll deal steady ticking damage to the players in their grasp.

(Mythic-Only) Scorched Treant - These are spawned if your root isn't killed. While it removes the heavier damage over time effect from yourself, it then pulses raid-wide damage until it's killed.

Falling Star - Burst of raid-wide damage that then summons Star Fragments, which should be avoided.

Searing Moonkin Form Abiltiies We Should Care About:

Only active during phases one and three.
Sunflame - Burst of raid-wide damage, repeats frequently while Tindral Sageswift reamins in this form.

Burning Treant Form Abilities We Should Care About:

Only active during phases two and three.
Suppressive Ember - Random players will be given a healing absorb.
Flaming Germination - Raid-wide ticking damage. During this effect, many Seed of Flames will spawn around the platform.

Seed of Flame - Players that stomp on the seeds (to prevent them from growing into Flaming Tree), will take a small burst of damage for each Seed of Flame they crush.

(Heroic-Only) Seed of Flame now give players that crush them a stacking damage-taken increase for any further seeds they stomp. More players will be taking higher damage to get rid of all of the seeds cast by Tindral Sageswift.

Flaring Owl Form Abilities We Should Care About:

Only active during the intermissions.
Typhoon - Pushes players back, dealing a burst of raid-wide damage as Tindral Sageswift launches himself from the platform.

Use Tiger's Lust to break your own Mass Entanglement quickly.

Save defensives for overlap of abilities, especially when Tindral Sageswift is in his Burning Treant form, as the abilities, by themselves, aren't worrisome, but once they start stacking they become deadly quick.
Save cooldowns for when Tindral Sageswift is in his Burning Treant form, as the damage he deals with Flaming Germination will stack with other mechanics he casts. Getting rid of players' Suppressive Ember is also imperative.

Fyrakk the Blazing

General Fyrakk Build

For Fyrakk, the General Fyrakk will work great! The fight has 3 phases and an intermission during which players will be taking ticking damage that increase based on how many orbs they soak, preventing them from hitting the boss. The second phase has ally NPCs that need to be healed up as they walk toward the Heart of Amirdrassil. On Mythic difficulty, Mistweavers are one of the best healers for healing up the Darnassian Ancient; simply cast Sheilun's Gift for the Shaohao's Lessons buff, channel as much Mana Tea as you can, then cast Renewing Mist on it for the 50% healing taken buff via Chi Harmony, and channel Soothing Mist on it, casting Enveloping Mist for its own healing amplification effect, and then cast Vivify on it until it's fully healed.

Mistweaver Tips and Tricks for Fyrakk the Blazing

Damage Pattern:

Phase One:

Burning Presence - Periodic raid-wide damage. Players taking damage from this can also be affected by Aflame.

Aflame - Magic-based debuff that deals damage over time, growing stronger over time until it's dispelled.

Firestorm - This ability targets random players, dealing a burst of damage to them when it expires, while also spawning Raging Flames under their feet.
Dream Rend - Initially a raid-wide burst of damage, this ability also deals lethal amount of damage repeatedly. This latter damage is reduced by distance from the rift that's summoned, so it should become manageable damage.
(Mythic-Only) Darkflame Shade - These adds are summoned periodically and cast Feather of Friends, whichneeds to be soaked with multiple palyers to make its damage livable.

Intermission:

Burning Scales - A more intense version of Burning Presence; periodic damage over time to the entire raid. There's no secondary effect, however.
Incarnate - A raid-wide burst of damage that also knocks players into the air.
Corrupt - Deals damage to the entire raid, increasing in intensity during the intermission.
Shadowflame Orbs - Players knocking these away from the boss to prevent a Shadowflame Eruption will be taking small bursts of damage.

Phase 2:

Burning Presence - Periodic damage brought back down to its phase one levels of damage. Regains the ability to affect players with Aflame.
Heart of Amirdrassil - The major mechanic of this phase. We need to indirectly heal the Heart through healing Spirit of the Kaldorei allies, which appear when Spirits of the Kaldorei occurs.

(Mythic-Only) Darnassian Ancient - Summoned alongside the Spirit of the Kaldorei allies as another ally to heal.

Greater Firestorm - When these impact the arena, two Burning Colossuses spawn, radiating damage to palyers standing near them via Pulsing Core.
Flamefall - This deals a massive amount of damage to all players. The damage itself is reduced by one's distance from the epicenter. Still though, expect the raid to take a massive, but livable, amount of damage.

Phase 3:

Burning Scales - Back to the intermission's frequent pulses of damage to the raid, this is stronger than the last phase's, but not longer affects players with Aflame.
Apocalypse Roar - While it looks incredibly lethal at first glance, the helpful mechanic from Amirdrassil itself is Seed of Amirdrassil and its Bloom. While this will likely be used to absorb a large amount of the initial damage from Apocalypse Roar, the damage over time effect that will linger will deal considerable damage to the raid.
Eternal Firestorm - Take special care with this ability, as the frequent bursts of random damage make for dangerous situations with your allies.
(Mythic-Only) Corrupted Seed - Players holding on these to prevent its large raid-wdie pulses of damage will suffer from stacks of Corruption, taking increased damage over time during this phase.

There are several points in each phase that would benefit greatly from a defensive ability. Dream Rend in phase one, depending on how the damage drop off works, would be great for Diffuse Magic. The further parts of the intermission, where Corrupt stacks are high, should also be reduced.

Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent is suited for quick, efficient Renewing Mist ramps, and is available frequently. We're a highly mobile, melee-focused healer that can mitigate a fair bit of damage thanks to our defensive options. We have two talent builds available, but the way to play both is similar enough moment to moment, letting players who want to get more out of the class play with a higher skill ceiling, or those that don't need to squeeze out every bit of throughput enjoy the class as they want.
