With how important healer mana has become, this is an extremely powerful potion. Although it's probably difficult to find a 10 second lull in a 5 man, I suspect many raid encounters give the opportunity to use it.

Not exactly like the Dreamless Sleep potion. On use of the potion, you channel a spell that gives you mana. Because it is a channel, you can cancel it at any time. Useful if you don't have any mana potions in the middle of a fight, I suppose.

As for what it looks like, you sit down with the "Zzz" above your head.

I'm an alchemist and I just made two Potions of Concentration and did a quick test:

Without the Lifebound Alchemist Stone, the potion restored 2,032 mana per second.
With the Lifebound Alchemist Stone, the potion restored 2,849 mana per second.

The Lifebound Alchemist Stone does give you a 40% boost to this potion's effect. Worth noting for your healers who haven't been sure if you should use this trinket and you do use Potions of Concentration.

This is very usable during the Magmaw encounter in Blackwing Descent. During Phase 2, the DPS burn phase where he's impaled, you have plenty of time to use one of these to it's full potential, unless your raid is doing something horribly wrong and there are parasites loose in the raid.

Should grant you roughly twice as much mana as a regular Mythical Mana Potion.

Handy if you're lacking gear, or having a rough day and just need some more mana!

Does the effect break if you take damage during it?

this potion is requires the user to channel to generate mana. The channeling is broken by moving. It is broken by casting any spell (including the shaman spell Spiritwalkers Grace, even if you cast spiritwalkers grace prior to using the potion), it is not broken by taking damage. you do not lose casting time by taking damage. however, the effect is broken by any effect which causes you to lose control of your character, IE, Fear, Stun, Sap, etc.

As a resto shaman i find, i often need to use these over normal mana potions. Not only do they restore lots of mana, they also lets you get in close to 15k normal regain during the 10 secs you are down. You number 1 tool to use these well is voice communication. You have to let the other healers know you are not doing your job for a short period of time. The other is to know the best time during an encounter to use em.

Magmaw: is obvious, when he is down in the burn phase.
Omnotron Defense System: I normally use em, right after moving out of toxitrons poison clouds, and make sure to be far away so his adds can't get to me.
Maloriak: is right after a flash freeze in his blue phase.
Atramedes: after the first sonic pulse, after an air phase.
Chimaeron: while he is feuding, just have the other healers deal with caustic slime.
Nefarian: after you are done healing an Electrocute up. Just make sure not to use it late in phase 3, since most often you are needed for healing there.
Halfus Wyrmbreaker: After drakes are down but before he uses Furious Roar as it will break the effect.
Valiona & Theralion: Right after you move from a voidzone cast by Theralion, make sure Twilight Blast will not be cast for the next 10 secs by checking timers.
Twilight Ascendant Council: While fighting Terrastra and Arion use it right after switching to or from grounded, just make sure you are away from others in case you get Lightning Rod.
Cho'gall: As he is casting Fester Blood, i move towards the throne and use it. There is not much damage and the other healers can handle it easy.
Conclave of Wind: The platform where you most likely would need to use a potion is on Nezir's. You have to wait until he uses a Permafrost, then move out of it, heal tank to full, make sure you don't have to jump or that Sleet Storm is incoming for 10 secs, then use the potion. It is tricky to get full effect here. If you get to the other platforms you have lots of time to both regain and/or use the potion.
Al'Akir: In phase 2 right after dodging tornados, and as long as 10 secs remain until phase 3. Just make sure to tell the other healers, as AoE damage at this point can be intense,

These are the times i normal use a concentration potion, hope it helps you. Just remember to tell others to take over your healing assignment for 10 secs, or you will likely see a lot of tank deaths.

I'm having some odd problems with these, when using an alchemist stone. Sometimes they give me ~26000 mana over 10 seconds, sometimes they give me ~29000 mana over 10 seconds. I tested it 5 times (making sure I was almost out of mana before I drank one, so it wouldn't stop ticking), and every time it gave me different values.

Sure, it's always above 22000, but I'm pretty sure 26000 isn't 40% more than 22000.

The randomness, combined with the 10 second incapacitation, combined with the higher material costs, I'd say these are fairly sub-part for fellow alchemists. Use Mysterious Potion instead, since it as of right now is giving 15000-40000 mana for alchemists (combined with enormous heals), and cost basically nothing to make.

Note that this potion does not share a lockout with the mythical mana potion. You can use both during an encounter.

not true. this potion will put all potions on cooldown during combat, and you won't be able to use any other potions until after you've left combat and the cooldown has ended.
