Absolutely don't understand why echo went dark this time. Seems like a bit of an ego move or to look cool. Because they weren't even ahead at that point. Liquid had seen more of phase 3 than they did almost immediately after. Bit embarrassingGoing dark in general is fine though if it makes logical sense. But when it's just to show off so they can make their funny retweet of liquid and farm impressions that's when it seems off to meAlso I'm glad that we still have a few places like this where we can express opinions without the comments being erased. My above rant comes from a place of disappointment, not malice. Sometimes it's fine to face criticism when your actions aren't the best. Not everything has to be sunshine and rainbows and positivity
Imagine the race without addons that tell you what to do every second. First boss kill after 3 week of progress :D
I don't blame any guild for going dark in all honesty especially when the race is this close, and no guild has seen how P3 works. Method have really surprised me this race however I do wonder if they would be this good with being in the lead from the get-go especially with how fast (in pulls) they got Fyrakk to below 60% health probably due to their analysts being able to watch over 300+ kills from both Liquid and Echo.
Comment to their advertisers. I don't care if that is how you win. If you want to do everything possible to win - don't stream and get advertisers. This is a viewers event. If you want to be selfish about it then be selfish. You don't get to play both sides.Comment to the advertisers of the event. If these guys want to make all this money streaming the event then they need to play by the rules of the viewers. All we're asking is to watch the end of the race. This is like going dark in the 4th quarter of a close football game. How is ANYBODY defending this? Stop being fanboys.
"Going Dark" stinks so much because of the grandstanding that used to happen back when streaming the race wasn't a thing.I remember plenty of snide comments when guilds started streaming towards guilds that didn't and about streaming comms when some were streaming comms and others weren't.Suddenly people are getting down off their high horse when they have something to lose.
I solve the annoyance of them going dark by not watching in the first place. Why would I want to watch someone else play a game that I could be playing myself instead of watching them play it? I've never understood the appeal. Literally the only legit reason to watch something like this is so that you can pick up on strats to incorporate in your own runs.If you can't see the strats, no point in watching the rest. Just wait until it's done and you can see the whole list of what works. Why waste time watching a chef test recipes, when you can wait to see the instructions for the finished product?
They 'go dark' to try different exploity cheese @#$% with WA's, Mechanics, etc and what not. They do not want other teams to see them doing it and copy whatever crap they are trying to exploit/cheese.And for all you whiners, the top % of players in all games are the biggest exploiters of broken crap in any game. They do anything and everyhting to get ahead.Case in point, they all exploited seeds to get R20 with Dream Wardens. And then one even boasted that only ~12 toons got rolled back.
the whining in this thread is fantastic. like, straight up WHINING. I PROMISE you the WFRs do NOT care about you and your worthless opinion. and in other news, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west
