DBM, Atlas (and Atlas Loot), Omen and Recount are the only things I bring into raids. This is pretty much the bare essentials for raids.
From the above, I go with Pitbull (ok, not an option above, but I liked it more than AGUF), Bartender4, DBM, Omen, Cartographer, Decursive, and many others. Here's my post about my UI from earlier this week:http://blog.wowtid.com/2009/03/newly-updated-raid-ui.html
I use QuestHelper. And that is it. >.>I really need to get around and download Omen or DBM, but I'm just too lazy!Oh well.
To add to Argent's blurb about the pally addon I recommend Totem Caddy for Shamans. Very nice and compact with customizable size and color.
Usually, I just use Deadly Boss Mods and that just for AV.I am a raider about as much a rat is a computer scientist master. Also, I much prefer curse to wowinterface.
For marking mobs, OPie is invaluable. I love it. Sure beats the clunky default method of raid marking.I did notice that ArgentSun said Bartender4 includes a vehicle interface; really? I cannot get my Bartender4 to show a vehicle bar. Try gunning people down in Lake Wintergrasp and then exiting the gun without an "exit vehicle" button. Yea, it doesn't work. = (Anyhow, here is my UI.
I don't like to use a lot of addons, I like to keep a clean UI, but sometimes it's hard, especially being a healer. I use TitanPanel, CTMod, Recount, Omen, DBM, and HealBot. They do the job and don't eat a lot of memory (excluding Recount of course, LoL)
Personally, I go with Pitbull for unit frames, and PerfectRaid for raid frames. PerfectRaid is awesome. Diamond Threat Meter > Omen though, imo.Oh, and OPie is great too, as Arkayn said. I put all my CDs on it so they don't clutter up my screen.
Ah, but it's only temporary - switching to Bongos yields even more pewpew, so you are on the positive side :P
AddOns are really good when raiding, they keep check on stuff you dont have time to see and tell you things you never would know without them. I have taken this to another level, a co-pilot. This means that we have 4 eyes on the screen that can keep track of the horde of addons that scream that we need to see them. You might think that we are nabs that can´t play for ourselves but the fact is that this not only makes us better but it also is more fun playing with someone beside you.Now I must say that the addon sittuation may be a bit out of hand when you cant really see them all in time with only one pair of eyes^^Share the fun!
If your UI is cluttered try Dash. You can bind a key and it will hide selected frames. Press the binded key again and it will bring the frames back up.
As a Rogue, Cutup is recommended (almost required)Oh and btw, Pitbull > any of the Unit Frames ArgentSun linked imo.
