the supplies are located 56.6, 54 - they are planted on the ground in a small growing area to the left of the steps of the first hut coming up the road. Red arrows will be above them pointing down. The weapons racks are located at 55.3, 53 - again small red arrows over the top of them are pointing down to identify them.

I thought I could avoid all the mobs on the ground by getting on top the building and throwing the explosives, but even with the green target circle right on one of the red arrows nothing happened. When I did the same from on the ground it worked fine.

If there is some trick to getting past the really thick, extremely quick respawning mobs, I'd love to hear it. The only way I could finish it was by dying closer and closer to what I had to blow up until I was able to reach the supplies and the weapons. My repair bill was horrible, over 150 gold.

I remember this quest on my bear druid - it was no big deal. But on my shadow priest it was nearly impossible, as others mentioned, you get swarmed. What I finally did was to fly into the buildings and wait inside. One would come down, a few seconds later another would follow - kill the first one using your orbs, build orbs on the second one. Eventually I killed enough to finish "motives of the mantid".

I was 90 when I did this - for the weapons, there were several mobs in the garden with them, I picked a place between the fake building that is by itself stage left, and the tree that was next to it, mounted, and los pulled by approaching the garden
until one or more mobs ran after me - if one, I would kill it, heal, and then continue -/ if more than one I would immediately take off and break combat.

When the garden was clear, I bombed a weapon rack.

For the supplies, I waited on top of the building that was farthest stage right until the supply area was clear, then landed on the ground, tossed the explosive and took off again. Unlike the weapon area, there were not permanently stationed mobs there.

A word of advice on this one.Might want to bring a friend or two or hang around until someone shows up.The number of NPCs and the low rez time in this area makes it nearly impossible to clear it fast enough and long enough to accomplish the objectives.
I died several times on my DK and finally waited till a alliance mage showed up and we were able to work together to get er done. :)

This is a very expensive quest. You will likely get swarmed by multiple 89 or 90 mobs, some of them are elites. WHEN you die, try to find a path of least resistance to the next set of munitions you need to blow up. I died multiple times as an 89 ele shammy. I did what was earlier reported kept moving closer to the next spot when I died. PITA quest

Obviously they will still swarm you but the tip here is to avoid the Mantid Screamers devastating scream. It does 30,000 plus damage which hurts after a while. Either interrupt it, or as soon as they start casting it just walk through them and it will miss you.

I don't have coordinates, but I found the supplies with the red arrows no problem. Ran all over, fighting like crazy to find the weapons. Watched a Youtube video showing me where they were, no arrows, blew it up anyway, nothing. Reset the quest and started over, destroyed the supplies, and again no arrows for the weapons. Set up bomb inside the fenced area across the courtyard from the supplies, in front of the building with steps, and it worked. Never did see any weapons, and never seen any red arrows, but after setting several random bombs throughout town, I did blow them up and got credit.

Bombs are not indicated by arrows or sparkles. They are in the yard in front of the far West tower.

In case anyone is wondering:

The weapons do not currently have little red arrows over them. Just bomb the place with lots of fences (55, 53) and the quest will be over.
