Not sure what's up but all I needed to do was find a clue in the auction house to solve the mystery. Just use the Idol of Ohn'ahra inside the auction house the paper is on a barrel on the left side of the house.

in order to get Kirin Tor Contact's Note use Idol of Ohn'ahra in the auction house, there's a paper called Compiled Report on the left side of the room on a barrel near a flying book, /way 44.26 60.37

You must find the notes at each location listed for the quest to pop-up for turn in.

This one seems very confusiong. I pick up the clue(Great Places to Visit). I woander around. I accidently go into the AH and find a clue but its for teh part Under Suspicion part of teh achievement. I am now trying to complete "A Curious ORb", but none of the items are appearing. I still have the note in inventory.

The note says to go to the fountain and use the idol - I do and find the clue in the auction house, quest complete.
Does anyone know if the one in the secret bar said anything special? I can't read it after turning in the quest.

I picked up all the notes/bills/receipts and went to Dragon's Hoard. Was able to loot the "Note to Kritha". Sadly, my questlog was capped out, so the quest wasn't accepted at all, and the note despawned. Unable to turn it in at the NPC since I didn't finish the quest. "A Note To Kritha" is still gone. Any advice?

If you're trying to do this without someone telling you directly where to go, but are completely confused by the note -

Go to a location in Valdrakken described in text on the note in any order (I did the first one, then the others out of order).
Recalibrate the hat by clicking the toy again which will set your coordinates to 0, 0 (see Thinking Cap Output at the top of the screen).
Travel to the coordinates listed after the location (for example, -8, -4 from the fountain).
Use the Idol of Ohn'ahra while on foot to search for the notes since the buff will disappear when you mount. The notes are not highlighted in any way but you will see it when you hover over it.
Repeat for all locations. Once you have clicked them all, a quest will pop up to turn in to complete it.

Thanks to another wowhead comment - I learned the first number of the thinking cap coordinates is West-East and the second is South-North. West and South are negative, East and North are positive. So -22, 20 would be 22 ticks West and 20 ticks North.

Some of them are still tricky to find the initial location, but I hope this helps.

This one is still kinda buggy. I ran around clicking on all the notes. But, couldn't get the last one to give me the quest item for turn in. Ended up going back to the spot near the Ruby Enclave (inside the building with the Quarreling Gardener) & clicking on the garden supply receipt which gave me the quest to turn in for the achievement step Under Suspicion.

This chart for is for players who want to work through the clues given in Great Places to Visit in Valdrakken.

Fangli Hoot tells you Tithris (the barkeeper at the Rotten Ram) has been stashing supplies all over the city for “something big”, maybe an expedition.
She gives you a list of attractions in Valdrakken with Cogs-Bolts coordinates. She tells you to equip the Tricked-Out Thinking Cap and Idol of Ohn'ahra. Your task is to find several caches hidden around the city.

The key to solving this quest is to reset your Cogs-Bolts coordinates at each listed attraction. Then rely on the Idol of Ohn'ahra and search for a cache in the general area. Use the Cogs-Bolts coordinates as a check.

The "Auction House Bill of Sale" is on a barrel in the Auction House (44.2, 60.20). “The auction house tag reads, “Bedding and travel trunks. Winner – Tithris. Roasted Ram Inn.”
2	”They’re doing such a great job of restoring the titan statue on the eastern edge of the city.”	Reset coordinates behind the statue of the titan with the glowing orb. The Maiden of Inspiration is in front of the statue.	Receipt for books and personal items removed from storage	The Void Storage Receipt is in a purple crate at the Void Storage/Transmogrifier (74.1, 57.5). The note reads, “Tithris – Innkeeper – Roasted Ram. Books and personal items removed from void storage. Hold for pickup.”
3	“A true highlight of Valdrakken is visiting the Ruby Feast and trying their tea (-12, -17)".	The Ruby feast is in a large open air pavilion. Find the tea service and reset your coordinates.	Garden Supply Receipt	The Receipt is on a crate in the gardening center (52.9, 28.6). The Receipt reads, “Deliver to Roasted Ram Inn. Replacement garden tools, maintenance items, and expedition supplies for an Adventurers Night Party.”
4	"Make sure to attend an enchanted candelight story reading in the Sapphire Enclave (-16, -17)."	Reset coords next to an author who reads a story at an outdoor pavilion where candles are suspended in the sky.	Researcher’s Note	Find an open arcane book floating outside a building of researchers in the Sapphire Enclave. Go inside to find a note on a pile of books (37.7, 37.1). The Researcher’s Note reads, “Copied titan volumes for Roasted Ram reading room”.
5	”Did you know that they have a SANDBOX and a swing at the Little Scales Daycare? You should definitely check it out (27, -7)”	Reset coordinates at the Sandbox outside the Little Scales Daycare.	Hastily Scrawled Note	Find the note on a crate behind the General Goods store at the lower Artisan’s Market (31.6, 70.4). The Hastily Scrawled Note reads, “Titris’ last minute requests. Salted argali, dried thresher, and tallstrider jerky. There must have been a run on his adventurer’s packs….”
6	"You must visit the Dragon’s Hoard bar. I have to BOW before whoever made that statue! But don’t IDOL too long since you want to get USE to the interior."	There are no coordinates to reset. Go to the Rotten Ram. Bow before the dragon statue in the Inn to gain admittance to the Dragon’s Hoard bar. In the bar, rely on the Idol of Ohn'ahra to the final cache.	Note to Kritha	The Note is on top of a crate in the Dragon’s Hoard bar (46.0, 41.5) You now have “A Complete Inventory”. <Compile your notes on the caches for for Fangli Hoot.> Turn in quest to Fangli Hoot.
