Looks like this thing is broken. Special Action Button to drop fish into the hole does nothing/say you are too far from the ice hole or shows "spell not learned" error

I managed to complete this quest by smashing an Ice Hole to the west of the quest giver and then using the extra action button. Exact hole I used was around 57 33.

It worked for me now by standing next to an ice hole and pressing the Extra Action Button (i.e. NOT "flying over" as you have to do for the other one).

Make sure you're using the extra action button next to the ice holes you cut in the ice yourself, not the small ponds where the nets and the quest giver are. You have to open up an ice hole before you can actually use the extra action button.

There are a lot of NPC's at this location with the Gruff Fisher name, but I haven't been able to do these dailies for a few days now.

This quest - along with the net slot - is only available if the fishing hole is set to Azure Span instead of waking shores.
The NPC isn't even there right now (Sargeras, US)

A couple of the Ice Crack pools seemed to be bugged. After breaking the ice, the extra action button disappeared and nothing would bring it back. Going to a different hole worked though.

this quest tells you to go outside of camp nowhere to get the stock fish. i tried using the net in two ice holes that i opened and nothing.

when you get the fish then go to any ice hole or open one. you need to get close to the hole to drop the fish, no flying like the other ones.

First time we are lacking of the nets... due to other players. And their spawn rate seems to be quite long.....

Because it wasn't mention ed, you need to fish the net up from YOUR OWN fishing hole. NOT the pools where the NPCs are.

Hi all

On This Daily Fishing Quest You need to First Fly around /way 58.21 52.15, and use Throw Net on 3 Stock Fish. Then Fly back around questgiver and find Ice Crack break it then use extr bar to release Fish ( don't fly ).

Subglacial Refill has you net fish in one area. In another area you create ice fishing holes and drop stock fish in them. (You’re not air dropping fish.)

The separate quest areas are light blue and can be hard to spot on frozen areas of the map.

TASK	ICON	COMMENTS
1	Collect stock fish 3x	Throw Net (Special action button in middle of screen)	The icon appears mid screen only when you're in the quest area. The icon is also shown in the quest objectives section of the screen.
2	On mini-map find Ice Cracks and create ice fishing holes 3x	Find Large fish icons on mini-map labelled Ice Cracks. Mouseover Ice Crack to see a tool icon (crossed saw and mallet). Click to break ice.	Fly to a big fish icon labelled Ice Crack. Dismount and look for asterisk shaped Ice Cracks. Mouseover Ice Cracks until a tool icon of a crossed saw and mallet appears. Click to "Break Ice" and create an ice fishing hole. If the tool icon doesn't appear, check the mini-map to be sure you're near a large fish icon labelled Ice Crack. Ignore geysers. A fishing hole will freeze over after 3 minutes. You can ice fish, but for this quest, drop the stock fish in the hole.
Drop stock fish in ice hole 3x	Ice Drop Fish (Special action button in middle of screen)	This icon appears at the same time as the Break ice icon -- but you have to break the ice first.

If Suffusion Camp: Frostburn is up, you'll have to deal with mobs.

Extra credit, you can pop open ice fishing in the cracked ice the fyrakk encampment is making.
