This questline describes the three specs of Evokers. Devastation, Preservation and Augmentation.

Sarkareth, whom the Cracked Item Gem was acquired from was the original Devastator, Devastation Evoker. Using power from the Red and Blue Dragonflights
Viridia, was the first Preserver, Preservation Evoker, wielding power from the Green and Bronze Dragonflights
Emberthal, was the First Augmenter, Augmentation Evoker, wielding power from the Black Dragonflight.

If the door is sealed shut for your character, die to falling damage just outside of the door and fly in and rez inside.

If you can't see the extra action button to get through the door, it may be obscured by the world quest extra action button in the area. Click that first and it will expose the Chrono Port extra action button you need to teleport through the door.

On 10.2 patch day, my Memories of an Artifact is missing from my bags. Adibags shows a red ?, default UI shows nothing.

I opened a ticket and will wait, as I am concerned what dropping the quest might do.

As of today (16 Nov 2023) 10.2 deleting the bugged quest item Ancient Memories, then dropping the quest "It takes a village", and finally picking up the "It takes a village" quest again gives you an un-bugged Ancient Memories. This is with NO item restoration step.

Looks like you still need to use the macro from Cuddlebox to apply it to yourself or a crafter:

Description

Emberthal aided me in discovering the Oathbinder. This was the artifact Neltharion used to control you all. I have been scouring the timeline to discover how it was made to forge a counterpart to it to protect your kind. This gem you've recovered is just the key I need to move my studies forward. You and I shall next meet within Zaralek Cavern, where you once fought over the broken Oathbinder. It is there we will find the secrets to forge your own weapon to fight against tyranny.
